Our tool uses an unsharp mask convolution kernel that enhances edges and fine details by amplifying the difference between neighboring pixels. This makes textures appear crisper and details more defined.
Aggressive sharpening can amplify noise. We recommend starting with a lower intensity and using the "Subtle Sharpen" preset. For noisy images, consider using the "Medium Sharpen" preset which balances detail and noise.
"Sharpen More" applies a stronger convolution kernel for images that need significant clarity improvement. Use it for very soft or slightly out-of-focus photos, but be aware it may also amplify any existing noise.
